Londoners look to Brighton for property

Brighton is becoming a popular alternative for home-buyers as the high prices of housing in the capital force many to look elsewhere.
Brighton is seen as a good substitute as mortgages are significantly cheaper, but the city itself maintains an atmosphere that Londoners enjoy, according to Brighton & Hove Family Homes.
Commenting on this, Charlie Snell, director of Brighton and Hove Family Homes, said: "Many people have taken the option to move out of London - house prices are more expensive there and people can't afford the properties they want. You can either move out to the Suburbs, or you can choose somewhere nice."
He added that the highly efficient transport links to London means that it maintains much of the capital's big city atmosphere, while having the sea, lots of fresh air and numerous parks as added attractions.
The fact that the city has a "funky" feel and is populated by many "independent-minded" people adds to the city's uniqueness, he concluded.
Elsewhere, Sussex estate agents say they are confident that there will be no property market crash in the region, reports Homemove.
